Infinitely Expand Your Abilities By Changing Your Thoughts
By Eric MulfordThe Ability Expander
Every man has more ability than he thinks he has, more than he ever uses ordinarily. Under extreme pressure, at the risk of life or threat to someone we love, any of us would find the ability we didn’t know we had. We discover that we are far more capable than we dreamed possible. Extraordinary ability is found in the ordinary man.
Some men’s ability lies so deep that they are never at their best except in a great crisis. Then the giant in them is unleashed, and great powers, of which they themselves were ignorant, are unlocked. They are like the lump of carbon that under extreme pressure becomes a precious diamond.
Sometimes a promotion to new responsibilities will reveal qualities never before seen. Not that those qualities never existed, but that the pressure to perform has never been there. The new responsibility has drawn out of him the needed ability that he may have never found without the opportunity. Never sidestep a responsibility. You may be throwing away your opportunity to expand your ability and thus not achieve the things you were meant to achieve.
It has been said that man only uses a fraction of his brain. Is it possible that man also only uses a fraction of his abilities? If it were possible to invent a machine to increase your ability it could command almost any price. Yet it is possible to do this simply by thinking right, and using the opportunities that are in front of you.
Even slight changes in your thinking will make a drastic difference in your outcomes. But positive thinking that doesn’t move you to prosperous action is nothing more than pointless dreaming. Real positive thinking will always change your behavior.
Right where you are, no matter what your environment, whatever your disadvantages or handicaps, you have been given enough ability to make you a success in whatever you desire to do. You have all you need to lift you to heights of success you never dreamed possible. Expand your ability; do everything that will enable you to stretch your spring to its limit, and you will be amazed at what you can accomplish.
To Your Success,
Eric Mulford
